Halifax - Our Favourite Coffee Spots
My name is James, and I am the Chef Concierge at The Sutton Place Hotel Halifax.
It's March in Halifax, and I find myself looking for warm and cozy cafes. Someplace where I can settle in and dream about summer. Halifax has so many independent coffee shops to choose from, so I'll help you navigate. I recommend:

Pane e Circo
Located off Spring Garden Road, this bright and airy Italian café has a beautiful patio for the warmer months too! So many beautiful pastries and sandwiches in the showcase will make it hard to decide what to choose. Will it be a coffee and chocolate croissant or a sandwich and glass of prosecco? The cappuccino and breakfast sandwich are my recommendations ????
Ramblers
On a quiet residential street, this comfortable space is a local hideaway filled with chill music, intellectual conversation and the smells of fresh coffee and baked goods. Scones or cinnamon buns are my favorites here. You may even catch a live bluegrass band from time-to-time.

Daily Grind
Located on the waterfront, this café is a popular spot to do some work, meet with friends or get lost in a good book. The Daily Grind stays open late at the weekend and takes on a bar vibe with happy hour and classic cocktails.

Listen
A unique space on Barrington Street, with a cozy place to sit, relax with a tasty brew and watch the world go by. This space is also filled with cool music…and why not, it’s a record store too! Take a moment to browse and you may even take some of this cool music home.
Dilly Dally Café
This quaint café on a busy corner of Quinpool Road is a popular spot and for good reason. Fresh sandwiches and salads and top-notch service keeps people coming back. Dilly Dally does not allow laptops during the daytime to make sure everyone can find a seat and enjoy their experience. Thursday is the best day to visit as they have a different flavour of pop tart fresh from the oven!!!
